Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 to Blend Malaysian Culture With Motorspot

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Sept. 10, 2026 — Tourism Malaysia will stage the Citrawarna Speed Festival 2026 from Sept. 23 to Oct. 4, bringing together Malaysian cultural showcases, motorsport-inspired attractions and interactive public experiences as part of Visit Malaysia 2026-2027.

The festival will take place across IOI City Mall Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Sama-Sama Hotel, with activities organised under two main components: Colours of Speed and Colours of Art & Culture.

Under Colours of Speed, visitors can explore racing memorabilia, autographed items and a showcase of iconic supercars. A simulator competition at IOI City Mall Putrajaya will also allow members of the public to test their racing skills, progress through qualifying rounds and compete for prizes in the final.

The festival will also showcase Malaysia’s cultural diversity through Colours of Art & Culture, featuring traditional performances, music and dance, handicrafts and interactive activities representing communities from across the country.

A major highlight will be the Colours of Parade, featuring 1,500 dancers and cultural performers from different regions and communities. The parade will combine traditional music, dance, colourful costumes and other cultural expressions to showcase Malaysia’s diverse heritage. Further details of the parade will be announced at a later date.

The festival is supported by strategic partners including Yes Travel & Holidays Sdn. Bhd., IOI Properties, the National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN), Istana Budaya, Kraftangan Malaysia, Sama-Sama Hotel, Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB), SNS Network, SDeal Malaysia Sim Racing & Motorsport and HP.

Tourism Malaysia said the festival aims to use the appeal of motorsport to reach wider audiences while promoting Malaysia’s cultural and tourism offerings. The initiative comes as the country recorded 21.1 million international visitor arrivals from January to June 2026, a 2.5 per cent increase from 20.6 million during the same period in 2025.

As part of Visit Malaysia 2026-2027, the festival is expected to generate tourism and economic opportunities while encouraging cultural appreciation, supporting local communities and strengthening Malaysia’s position as a competitive tourism destination. Competition rules, participation requirements, registration details and schedules will be announced through the festival’s official social media channels.
