Emirates adds 10th daily service to London

Kuala Lumpur, 15th April 2016 – Emirates has unveiled plans to boost capacity to London, its most popular destination outside of Dubai and one of the top five international destinations Malaysians travel to from Kuala Lumpur via Emirates, with the addition of a tenth daily flight starting 1st October 2016.

The new service, Emirates’ fourth daily flight to London Gatwick, will complement its six daily services to Heathrow and take the airline’s total weekly services to the city to 70 flights.

“It is an exciting time for Malaysians given that London is one of the top five international destinations they travel from Kuala Lumpur via Emirates. From our hub, Dubai, they will enjoy added capacity and connection to the vibrant city – a key destination among Malaysian students, business travellers and families to visit, the whole year round,” said Andrew Bunn, Country Manager, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, Emirates.

The Dubai-London Gatwick service will be operated by a state-of-the-art Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in a three-class configuration, with eight Private Suites in First Class, 42 lie flat seats in Business Class and 310 spacious seats in Economy Class.

Starting 1 October 2016, EK 023 will depart Dubai at 0950hrs, arriving in London at 1430hrs. The return flight, EK 024, will leave London at 1650hrs, arriving in Dubai at 0240hrs the next day.

On the Dubai-Kuala Lumpur route, travellers can choose from the four daily flights offered on Emirates, three flights operated by Boeing 777 aircraft and one on the A380, before taking an onward connection to London.

Travellers on Emirates’ flights can look forward to the famed hospitality of its multi-national Cabin Crew, including over 2000 British nationals, gourmet cuisine, Emirates’ award-winning ice entertainment system and generous baggage allowances.

In addition, those travelling in premium cabins from Gatwick Airport will enjoy a brand new, exclusive drop-off zone for Emirates’ Chauffeur-drive service where porters will assist with their luggage. Emirates also operates a newly-refurbished lounge for First and Business Class passengers.
