Genting Highlands, 1 October 2024 – Resorts World Genting is excited to announce that the Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car will officially resume its daily operations from 1st October 2024. Visitors can now choose between two cable cars to enjoy breathtaking rides daily from 7am to 11pm. The iconic Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car and Genting Highlands Premium Outlets Cable Car (previously known as Awana SkyWay).
Formerly known as Genting SkyWay, the Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car since its grand opening in 1997, has been a key attraction and delighted millions of local and international visitors. Spanning 3.4 kilometres, Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car offers a scenic 15-minute ride through the lush rainforests and cool mountain air over Mount Ulu Kali in Genting Sempah. As it ascends, visitors are treated to breathtaking views of 130-million-year-old rainforest. Soaring over the scenic hills of Genting Highlands. The Genting Gohtong Jaya Cable Car conveniently transports visitors from Gohtong Jaya Station to Highlands Hotel.
Enjoy the classic Standard Gondola for only RM10 one-way or RM18 return. For visitors who prefer to skip the waiting time, the Express Boarding Gondola is available for RM16 one-way and RM30 for a return trip. The most premium and exclusive option is the Chartered Gondola, designed for those seeking privacy and luxury. Priced at RM300 one-way and RM550 for a return trip, this option allows up to 8 passengers to enjoy a private ride.
