KUALA LANGAT, Selangor – This weekend, Gamuda Land invites you to the Wetlands Wonderfest carnival! Recently, Gamuda Land signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Federal Government and the Selangor State Government, making them responsible for operating Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. To celebrate this milestone, Gamuda Land has launched new outdoor experiences for families and nature enthusiasts to enjoy the vibrant beauty of this biodiversity sanctuary.

Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, located at Gamuda Cove, is known as the Nature Park in the developer’s placemaking. Positioned as an ecotourism hub in Southern Klang Valley, the wetlands cover 1,111 acres of stunning views and diverse wildlife. Since opening to the public in January 2020, it has become home to 14 reptile species, including crocodiles, as well as 225 bird species and mammals like hippopotamuses and horses.

Liong Ve Lyn, Senior General Manager (Leisure & Hospitality) of Gamuda Land, shared, “Our vision is to improve accessibility to Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands. We aim to create a relaxing space where visitors can unwind and discover nature’s beauty. The new outdoor activities, such as the Donut Boat Ride and the Shuttle Truck Ride for Boat Cruise from Tasik Rusiga, cater to visitors from all walks of life.”

The Wetlands Wonderfest will take place over two days, from October 5th to 6th, with free entry for everyone. In addition to existing boat cruises, safari rides, animal feeding sessions, and horse riding experiences, the carnival will feature meet-and-greet sessions with the GL Play Squad and a GL Play Inflatable Land. Local vendors will also gather at pop-up bazaars from Jom Havoc Fest and Camp Café & Picnic by Dluca. Plus, visitors can enjoy animal feeding time with elephants, hippos, ducks, and tortoises.

The Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands Gallery will be open for visitors to explore the wetlands’ biodiversity. The property developer is working on refurbishing it to introduce more interactive and engaging elements. During the Wetlands Wonderfest, visitors parking at the public parking outside the Gallery can access free entry from Gate 2 via the Dengkil exit. Moreover, the Solar Express and shuttle services will transport visitors around the carnival.

Gamuda Cove features a variety of exciting attractions, including SplashMania Waterpark, Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, Wetlands Arboretum Centre, and Discovery Park, all set within the region’s most preserved ecosystem. As a Low Carbon City, visitors can travel around the township on an e-tram that reduces carbon emissions or explore on foot and bike through shaded pedestrian walkways.

Ve Lyn added, “We hope this expanded list of activities at Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands will enhance Malaysians’ love for nature and improve school children’s knowledge about conserving it.” This eco-learning hub in Klang Valley, with upgraded ecotourism activities and facilities, is designed for visitors to bond with friends and family while connecting with nature.
