Shah Alam, 21 March 2023 – As Ramadan approaches when gatherings with families and friends are long-awaited, Concorde Hotel Shah Alam culinary team offers a delightful series of traditional Malay cuisine from 23 March until 21 April 2023. Be spoilt for choice when breaking your fast during this holy month of Ramadan at Melting Pot Café with this year’s theme IFTAR AT CONCORDE, which serves four different sets of menu comprising various succulent dishes. Each set of menu is rotated on alternate days.

Amilia Alias, Concorde Hotel Shah Alam’s Director of Sales & Marketing, shares that everyone can elevate their cravings with Melting Pot’s appetisers such as Kerabu Sotong Suhun Utara (Squid Salad with Vermicelli), Stir-Fried Green Mussels with Thai Basil, Kari Kepala Ikan Jenahak Tomato Bendi (Head of Snapper Curry), Kambing Panggang Berempah Bawang Putih (Marinated Roast Mutton), and many more.

Concorde Hotel Shah Alam is famous for its signature ‘Bubur Lambuk’ (Lightly Spiced Rice Porridge) that is available daily. The 3 main types of Bubur Lambuk served are Bubur Lambuk Ayam Dara Lada Hitam (Pepper Chicken), Bubur Lambuk Daging Batang Pinang (Sirloin), and Bubur Lambuk Makanan Laut (Seafood).

At the same time, the buffet also offer main courses and claypot dishes that include Nasi Putih Kukus Pandan Wangi (Fragrant Steamed Rice), Nasi Jagung Bergajus (Corn Rice with Cashew), Nasi Briyani Kismis Emas (Biryani Rice with Golden Raisins), Nasi Bukhara (Bukhara Rice), Nasi Hujan Panas (Coloured Rice), Ketam Masak Cili ‘Chef Mong Style’ (Chili Crab), Stir-Fried Mussels with Dried Chilies, and Ikan Patin Gulai Tempoyak (Catfish Cooked in Fermented Durian), among others.

What also make Melting Pot Café’s Ramadan buffet special are the local comfort favourites like Sup Kambing Mamak (Mutton Soup), Popia Basah (Fresh Spring Rolls), Roti John Mayonis Bersusu (Creamy Omelette Sandwich), Murtabak (Folded Omelette Pancake) and Roti Jala (Savoury Net Bread), including fried options like Keropok Lekur (Fish Fritters), Pisang Goreng (Banana Fritters), and Keledek (Sweet Potato Fritters).
