SINGAPORE, 10 August 2017 – August marks a month of festivities for two of South East Asia’s most beautiful nations; culturally rich Indonesia and the ever-vibrant Malaysia. On the 17th of August, Indonesia will be celebrating their Independence Day and Malaysia will be celebrating their Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) on the 31st of August. As such, Club Med is delighted to invite guests and their loved ones to join the celebrations at the Bali, Bintan and Cherating Beach resorts.
Guests can expect an extensive array of activities and events for everyone in the family to enjoy at the all-inclusive resorts while relaxing in the feel-good atmosphere of Club Med.
On the beautiful islands of Bali and Bintan Island, both resorts will kickstart their celebrations with a traditional Indonesian costume parade while accompanied by a marching band within the Club Med resort. At the main pool, a fun and immersive water aerobics class will take place showcasing a range of techno remixes of Dangdut, a genre of Indonesian folk and traditional popular music.
Visitors will feel like a child again by participating in a massive pillow fight. Work up an appetite for a delectable lunch, served with coconut ice-cream. Guests can also immerse themselves further in Indonesian culture with Indonesian dance lessons led by Club Med’s very own talented staff, also known as G.O.s (Gentle Organiser). Additionally, other fun activities include an arm wrestling tournament, a sack race as well a tug of war. For the young kids, throughout the day, the Mini Club will be organising activities to keep them entertained and enhance their holiday experience.
The fun does not stop as the programme for the day continues with a live performance of traditional Indonesian music. Be treated to a stellar performance titled Gebyar Indonesia, complete with a champagne fountain and fireworks.
If food is the way to a person’s heart then the guests will be returning to their rooms with full hearts and stomachs. The closing “act” for the night is a food festival that promises a wide spread of mouthwatering Indonesian specialties.
