Noise Performance House Launches Annual Theatre Training Course
Penang, 22 April 2024 – Noise Performance House is thrilled to announce the commencement of its annual training program for theatre enthusiasts! Since its inception in 2007, the Noise training program has been a cornerstone of Penang’s performing arts scene, nurturing numerous talents over its 18-year journey. This year’s meticulously planned course will be taught by a stellar lineup of local instructors, covering a wide range of theatrical knowledge including performance arts, pronunciation, lighting and sound, physical performance, scriptwriting, and set design. This promises to be a special experience in 2024!
Unique Features of the Program:
● Joe Sidek @ Production and Arts Promotion Course: Renowned former director of the George Town Festival, Joe Sidek, will personally conduct sessions on writing exceptional proposals and promoting shows to producers and sponsors. Learn from Joe’s rich experience and seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
● Aida Redza @ Physical Performance/Dance Course: International renowned choreographer Aida Redza will lead sessions, showcasing her unique style cultivated over years on local and international stages. Known for breaking boundaries in performance through community engagement and immersive theatrical experiences, Aida’s physical performances are loved by audiences worldwide!
● Lin Jia Jia: A celebrated Malaysian playwright whose works resonate deeply with audiences. As a seasoned theatre creator, she will share her insights and inspirations on creative writing.
● Tan Wei Guang: A highly acclaimed theatre critic renowned for his insightful analysis of theatre/film/artworks. His critiques and insights will provide valuable guidance on your performance journey. Additionally, Weiguang will share insights into the history of Chinese theatre in Penang!
● Ong Han Yee: A director known for crafting captivating stage performances and leading numerous outstanding theatrical productions!
● Cheah Kai Yong: A professional producer and experienced stage manager who will share his rich experience and techniques to master stage management.
● Cynthia Ong: A master of creating exquisite stage makeup and set design, seamlessly blending artistry and technology for visually stunning performances. ● Chin Teo: A multi-award-winning performer with exceptional acting skills, deeply loved by audiences. As an experienced actor, she will share the essence and techniques of theatre.
● Tan Ling Ling: A seasoned actor who not only excels in theatre education but also demonstrates extraordinary talent on stage. Her unique performance style has garnered widespread acclaim.
