PESZTA Returns to Kampung Attap For Its Fourth Edition This November 1st
KUALA LUMPUR, 2 October 2025 — Mark your calendars for November 1st, because the PESZTA arts and culture festival is coming back to Kampung Attap! Originally named for the three venues that collaborated on the first edition back in 2022—”P”entago House, “S”am Mansion, and The “Z” hongshan Building, all Kampung Attap landmarks—the delightful one-day festival has since expanded to include new neighbours in the locale. This little pocket of Kampung Attap will transform into a festival ground buzzing with music, street performances, markets, and artsy festivities for one day only this November 1st. The best part: free entry!
For its fourth edition, the festival will turn the spotlight back on the creative community of Kampung Attap, letting their talents shine through open studios, talks, and workshops. An outdoor market with exciting local food offerings and artisanal makers will run throughout the day and there’ll be lots of free activities for visitors to drop into and hopefully get a spark of inspiration from. During the evening, there will be live music performances on The Zhongshan Building’s rooftop and balconies, with a line-up studded with local underground favourites, including punk band Tres Empre, indie rock band Hawa, ambient musician Euseng Seto, and more.
This year’s edition of PESZTA is particularly special because it will be the first time that the community festival will be funded through grassroots efforts. For those curious about the local arts scene and the up-andcoming creatives shaping the future of Kuala Lumpur, this will make for an invigorating day out where you can discover how much is possible through the spirit of DIY and community placemaking outside of corporate interests. The award-winning architecture firm Pentago House will open its doors for the public to explore its unique heritage building, an achievement in urban rejuvenation. SAM Mansion will host cultural performances in their outdoor corridors and carpark, along with an arts and craft market of local artisans. Together with their sister establishment, Heart Residence, both residential spaces will be transformed into platforms for highlighting local talents. The Zhongshan Building’s many creatives will open their studios for the public to explore, containing everything from visual art and ceramics, indie publications, record stores, handmade batik, crafted F&B, and many other artisanal delights. triptyk bar and restaurant will introduce special festival-only items to their menu while hosting some fun, family-friendly activities to entertain kids and
adults alike. There will also be more offerings from surrounding neighbours, such as the historic Kuala Lumpur Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall, with a full programme to be announced soon.
PESZTA 2025 aims to outdo previous editions by offering more valuable and memorable experiences that will stay with you longer than a photo op. Expect a day of sun, fun, music and food, but also insightful and illuminating talks, workshops, and exhibitions from some of the most exciting creatives working in Kuala Lumpur today. Come on down to Kampung Attap and join our creative community this November 1st!
