On 1 March 2017, Cathay Dragon celebrated its inaugural flight to KL International Airport (KLIA) as Flight KA725, an Airbus A330-300 departed Hong Kong International Airport and touched down at Gate C2 of the Satellite Building of KLIA. With the arrival of flight KA725, Kuala Lumpur marks Cathay Dragon’s third destination in Malaysia. The airline already operates 11 weekly flights to Penang and five weekly flights to Kota Kinabalu. In total, Cathay Dragon will soon be operating 44 weekly flights to Malaysia.
