Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines Group, today commenced its first direct flight between Kota Kinabalu and Singapore, making it the airline’s eighth destination in Malaysia after Ipoh, Kota Bharu, Kuala Lumpur, Kuantan, Kuching, Langkawi and Penang.
Scoot will be moving its operations from Terminal 2 (T2) to Terminal 1 (T1) of Singapore Changi Airport in the last quarter of 2019. The shift to T1 will facilitate Scoot’s growth plans and bring an enhanced experience to its customers.

Asia/Pacific’s Best Low Cost Airline inaugurates services from Singapore to its first East Malaysia destination Kuching – Scoot launched its inaugural flight from Singapore to Kuching, the first-ever destination in East Malaysia for the award-winning value airline yesterday. The new Singapore-Kuching route with daily direct flights will be Scoot’s fifth destination in Malaysia, after Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang. Kuala Lumpur – Scoot officially kickstarts ticket sales today for the latest Malaysian destinations, Kuching and Kuantan. The latest additions to the network bring the total number of Scoot’s destinations in Malaysia to six cities including Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang. The inaugural flights are scheduled to commence on 29th October 2017 for Kuching and 2nd February 2018 for Kuantan. Scoot will be operating daily flights from Singapore to Kuching while flying three times weekly to Kuantan.
