ATR 72-500 Firefly

Firefly recently introduced the Kota Bharu – Johor Bahru service, making it the only commercial airline to link the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia with the Southern state of Johor. This service will commence on 26 April 2012 with flights every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

The airline is targeting domestic traffic for this route and also from Singaporeans keen on visiting Kota Bharu and other parts in the East Coast. The new flights are mounted to meet the needs of Firefly’s loyal business and leisure customers from Kota Bharu who have requested for direct flights with convenient timings to the southern state of Johor. It also serves as an affordable gateway toSingaporewhereby Firefly anticipates Malaysians using this new service to fly to Johor and travel onward by land to Singapore.Currently Firefly has 6 daily flights between Subang to Kota Bharu. As off 6 April it will increase its frequency to 7x weekly, due to popular demand by the community it serves.Firefly has also got code share agreements with Malaysia Airlines on all of these flights.This agreement is especially catered to offer more travel options in terms of better fares and flight timings, for tourists abroad that are on transit inKuala LumpurInternationalAirport.Firefly provides incredible value as well as excellent service to its passengers.  On the ATR 72-500, passengers are provided with free 20kg check-in baggage allowance, complimentary in-flight refreshments, assigned seating and the convenience of flying from Subang,Kuala Lumpur’s city airport.
