Grand Dorsett Subang Inspire Talented Youths with Physical Disabilities

SUBANG JAYA, 15 May 2012 – Aim to inspire talented youths with physical disabilities, the Grand Dorsett Subang is the first and only hotel in Malaysia to provide on-the-job training for the disabled to enhance their employment opportunities. Launched in February 2010, each group consists of six personnel from Selangor Cheshire Home will undergo a 3-month training at the Grand Dorsett Subang to develop their talent to its fullest potential.

“They are enthusiastically waiting for opportunities to receive training,” says Mr Leo Kuscher, the hotel’s General Manager.One of the major achievements of this initiative was the opening of the Bakey Wakey Café on 10 May 2012. The Bakey Wakey Café will be managed solely by personnel from Selangor Cheshire Home.

The second batch of this program is expected to commence in mid-May 2012. This program was initiated with an objective to inspire talented youths with physical disabilities and as part of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility program.
