Ikhlas.com Aims to Sponsor 1,000 Asnaf for Umrah

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20, 2025 – Ikhlas.com has announced its initiative to sponsor 1,000 asnaf (group of people worthy of receiving a Muslim tithe) to perform the Umrah pilgrimage. This commitment was highlighted by Ikhlas Kamarudin, the Chief Executive Officer of Ikhlas.com, during the celebration of the platform’s fifth anniversary recently.

“In conjunction with the blessed month of Ramadan and Nuzul al-Quran, we are deeply honoured to celebrate our fifth anniversary with gratitude. This occasion is a chance to promote charity, strengthen bonds of brotherhood, and facilitate the delivery of assistance to those in need,” said Ikhlas Kamarudin.

To mark this special anniversary, Ikhlas.com is calling on the public to help realize the mission of bringing 1,000 of Allah’s guests to perform Umrah. The platform aims to reach asnaf throughout the country and provide a means to fulfill the dreams of underprivileged individuals wishing to set foot in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

“These pilgrims are incredibly special because they need not only physical assistance but spiritual support as well. We need the support of everyone to ensure that more people can contribute to this meaningful mission,” explained Ikhlas Kamarudin.

The public is also invited to nominate individuals who fit into categories such as the poor, single mothers, the disabled, and converts to Islam. Each nominee has a unique life story that can inspire and touch the hearts of others.

On the same evening, Ikhlas.com unveiled an exclusive vehicle named Qashwa to drive the 1,000 Asnaf Umrah Campaign. The 1987 Mercedes S124 300TE, jointly sponsored by subsidiaries of Capital A Berhad including AirAsia, MOVE, Santan, Teleport, Outclass, and BigPay, will tour across Malaysia in search of potential pilgrims for the 1,000 Umrah Asnaf campaign.

The fifth anniversary celebration was also attended by Capital A Executive Chairman, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Datuk Rosyam Nor, Commercial Advisor of Ikhlas.com, and the Board of Directors of Capital A, including Dato’ Abdul Aziz Abu Bakar and Brigadier General (R) Fadzillah Abdullah.

In line with the anniversary celebration, Ikhlas.com is also offering over RM5 million in prizes, including 10,000 Umrah discount vouchers worth RM200 each, exclusive souvenirs, books, and many more prizes to be distributed throughout the year.
