August 2013, Kuala Lumpur – In conjunction with 2013 Visit BUG Year and Suncheonman Bay Garden Expo 2013, Mr, Yun Jae Jin, the Managing Director of Korea Tourism Organization, Malaysia and Brunei hosted Korea Destinations Seminar: Busan, Daegu and Jeollanam-do to do showcase the hidden beauty of the less know southern part of the Korean peninsular.

Honourable guest attending to grace the occasion included Mr. Ohm Kyong-sop , the President of Busan Tourism Organization, Mr Kim Myung-won, Director of Jeollanam-do Government Office, MDs and CEOs of major travel partners in Malaysia.

Dynamic Busan is South Korea’s second largest metropolis after Seoul, with a population of approximately 3.6 million.  Strategically located at the southeastern tip of the Korean peninsula, Busan is blessed with the largest beach and longest river in Korea.  It is the largest port city in South Korea and the world’s fifth busiest seaports by cargo tonnage.

2013 is visit BUG (Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongsangnam-do) Year, bringing more excitement to this dynamic city that hosts the annual Busan International Film Festival, a destination that offers from vibrant beaches, gastronomic delights to MICE facilities.

Colourful Deagu, the city of Hope, is the city that embrace a knowledge economy, education, culture and art and an eco-friendly environment.  With its fertile fields enclosed by the Geumhogang River  and its tributary Sincheon, Deagu has been home to a large population since prehistoric times, helping settlers create a rich and unique cultural heritage.

Being the 3 in Korea, is also a medical tourism hub and boats the highest quality medical infrastructure.  It also holds the Daegu Ynagyeongsi Herb Medical Festival  every May.Jeollanam-do the land of green, is a God-granted gem with natural resources  that lies along the beautiful coastline of the southwestern end of the Korean peninsular.

Jeollanam-do or fondly knows as Jeonnam, has been reffered to as RDthe ‘Spiritual Home of the Korean People’  .it also home to the Slow Cities such as Jeungdo Island, Cheongsando Island, Damyang ad Jangheung.  Jeqonnam has been hosting a few mega events, including the F1 Korean Grand Prix since 2010 in the City of Yeongam, Yeosu Garden Expo in 2012 and the ongoing Suncheonman Bay Garden Expo from April to October this year.
