KUALA LUMPUR – Vietnam Airlines Malaysia launched a 30-day augmented reality (AR) play & win campaign in late December 2018, offering flight tickets worth a total value of RM20,000 as prizes for the lucky winners.

The month-long campaign was a special collaboration with Top Media Resources Sdn Bhd and 10 AEON malls in Klang Valley, whereby a special sticker was installed on 36 LEDs within the 10 malls. Shoppers were to download the Asterbell mobile app that was developed by Top Media Resources Sdn Bhd then scan any of the stickers for an AR game to appear. The main objective of the game was to collect as many jewels without touching the bomb. The game was a crowd puller due to its attractive prizes, and easy access to download the app with free wifi available around the LEDs.

The prize giving ceremony was held at AEON Metro Prima in Kepong on 28th January 2019. Winners won flight tickets to destinations such as Korea, Europe and Japan
