Tanzini from Farm to Table

As the elevator opened at the 28th floor of GTower Hotel, I was truly mesmerised with the restaurant’s glass walls that seemed to separate me from the night sky. Tanzini Restaurant, located on the top most floor of GTower, is an auspicious location for city dwellers who are always hunting for indulgent dining experience while enjoying the panorama of the bustling capital.

Seated in a corner of this luxuriously minimalist restaurant, I felt like floating in a glass castle with the view of the stars above sparkling like diamonds. From farm to table, that is the best way to describe the freshness of the ingredients sought after by gourmands. At Tanzini, the chefs prepare artistically infused traditional recipes with bursts of creativity that are bound to blow guests’ minds away.

I began the dining experience with starters, Goose Liver Terrine and Fruity Smoked Duck. The crunchy vegetable indicated how fresh it was and the flesh of the duck was cooked to perfection. After finishing the last strip of the smoked duck, the soups arrived, which were Wild Mushroom Soup and Deconstructed Tiger Prawn Bisque, both were equally heavenly. Before proceeding to the main course, we had sherbet to clear the strong taste of soup earlier in order to savour the entree. The effervescent flavour of Passion Fruit and Orange Earl Grey Sherbet was refreshing and thoroughly cleaned my taste buds.

The entree arrived in the form of Aged Wagyu Tenderloin, Atlantic Black Cod and Tanzini Tiger Prawn Vongole (one of Tanzini’s signature dishes) – I was speechless at first, in awe of them all. The tenderness of the tenderloin nicely complements the soft texture of the cod that was served with Lobster Konbu Broth. Then I tasted the Tanzini Tiger Prawn Vongole, which had a remarkably well balanced spicy flavour.

The dinner culminated with was Dolce di Tanzini Platter, which was a verity of desserts that came in petite fours. There were a few pieces of cakes put on the platter, but the ones that I preferred were Marble Cheesecake, Chocolate Almond Fudge Cake and Crème Brule. The light taste of the cheesecake and the rich chocolate taste of the fudge, including the ever sweet taste of the Crème Brule, was the perfect ending for my entire fabulous evening at Tanzini Restaurant.Tanzini Restaurant offers a dining experience that is unrivalled. The view of Kuala Lumpur as the backdrop enhances guests’ dining experience for any occasion, be it an intimate dinner date or even a casual gathering of friends and family. Tanzini is the place for people who appreciate gastronomic delights that are fuss free yet superb in taste and will never disappoint.
