Kuala Lumpur, 26 June 2015 – Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur celebrated Ramadan with 25 children from Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera at the all day dining restaurant, Relish on 23 June 2015, Tuesday.
Ms. Shirley Lai, Group General Manager of Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur and Mr. Michael Lee, General Manager of Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur welcomed the 25 boys and girls from the home as part of the hotels’ continuous Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program which aims to create an impact on society.
The event started off with “Tazkirah” by guest Ustad Jefry and continued with the breaking of fast where the children indulged local kuih and “buah kurma” before heading for the “Maghrib” prayers. After the prayers, the children were then treated to a sumptuous spread of traditional and Middle Eastern dishes prepared by Executive Chef Ishak and his team.
During the event, the children also showcased their talent by performing two Nasyid songs at the Relish restaurant which was during their Sumptuous “Seribu Satu Malam” buffet dinner promotion which started on 22 June until 12 July 2015.
The evening ended with handing out of duit raya and goodie bags for the children by Ms. Shirley Lai, and Mr. Michael Lee. Some of the items in the goodie bag was co- sponsored by Prince Court Medical Centre and Aquaria KLCC. After a group photograph, the children made their way home with smiles on their faces.
Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera aim to create a home that is perfect for orphans and the poor. They provide basic needs to children such as food, drink, shelter and school supplies for the children. To date, a total of 25 orphans consisting boys and girls are currently being placed in the home.
