Harmonic Echoes Art Exhibition

June 16, 2026

DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, in collaboration with Mentari Art Gallery, proudly presents Harmonic Echoes Art Exhibition, a contemporary solo showcase by Malaysian abstract artist Rube Jamal.

Held at the Studio Residency space within DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside from 30 May until 30 June, the month-long exhibition invites audiences into an expressive visual journey shaped by rhythm, movement, emotion and lived experience.

Curated by Shafiq Ghazie, Harmonic Echoes features approximate 33 acrylic on canvas artworks, highlighting Rube Jamal’s distinctive Splash Series and Hard-Edge abstract compositions. Through energetic gestures, layered textures and dynamic forms, the exhibition reflects the fluid and evolving nature of life — where spontaneity, structure, memory and emotion coexist within a constantly shifting human experience.

The exhibition title, Harmonic Echoes, symbolises the resonance between personal stories, emotional expression and the unseen rhythms that shape everyday life. The expressive splash techniques convey movement, instinct and freedom, while the hard-edge elements introduce balance, discipline and visual harmony. Together, these contrasting visual languages create a compelling dialogue between chaos and control, emotion and reflection.

Positioned within a contemporary hospitality environment, the exhibition also reimagines how art can be experienced beyond conventional gallery spaces. Guests, visitors, collectors, students and tourists are invited to encounter contemporary Malaysian abstract art within a setting that blends culture, leisure and lifestyle.

Throughout the exhibition period, meet-and-greet sessions and creative art activities may also be introduced, offering visitors opportunities to engage more closely with the artist and experience contemporary art within an interactive and welcoming environment.

In support of meaningful community engagement, a portion of the proceeds from artwork sales will be channelled towards charitable initiatives by DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside, reflecting a shared commitment towards compassion, social responsibility and giving back through the arts.

Harmonic Echoes Art Exhibition is open to the public with complimentary admission from Wednesday to Sunday, between 11:30 AM and 6:00 PM.
