Pavilion Bukit Jalil Glows With Heritage And Artistry For ‘Joyful Lights – Together, Here’ 2026
KUALA LUMPUR, 28 OCTOBER 2026 — Pavilion Bukit Jalil has unveiled its Deepavali décor for ‘Joyful Lights – Together, Here’, transforming the mall into a festive destination adorned with cultural installations, intricate artistry, and vibrant colour. Running from 22nd October to 9th November 2026, the celebration invites families and friends to gather, admire, and share in the warmth and joy of the Festival of Lights.
The journey begins at the Main Foyer Entrance, Level 3, where The Saree of 1,080 Blessings by UCSI Group—comprising UCSI University, De Institute of Creative Arts and Design (ICAD), UCSI Child Development Centre, UCSI International School Kuala Lumpur, and Sekolah Sri UCSI Kuala Lumpur—welcomes shoppers into the celebration. Inspired by 108, a sacred number in Hindu tradition, the installation multiplies its symbolism tenfold into a flowing saree representing collective blessings and celebration, with hidden patterns and details woven throughout.
Moving deeper into the mall, a pair of giant LED elephants flanks the Spanish Steps. Revered as symbols of wisdom and good fortune, they glow against the festive florals and set a magnificent backdrop for families to capture their memories together.
Further along, the PIAZZA Entrance at Level 3 unfolds with an intricate Kolam Art Display by City University Malaysia and City Fashion School students. Traditionally drawn with rice flour at the doorstep, ‘The Circle of Light’ kolam welcomes guests and blessings into the home, and its patterns grow more elaborate during Deepavali. Adorning the mall in vivid colour, its flowing patterns and floral border carry the festival’s wishes for prosperity and good fortune to every shopper who passes through. Surrounding the centrepiece, glass showcases present tenants’ fashion, beauty, home, and gifting selections from in colour stories drawn from the festive palette.
One floor below, the journey comes full circle with a second kolam, ‘The Guardian of Auspicious Light’, welcoming shoppers at the Bukit Jalil Entrance, Level 2. Bright with colour and community spirit, the trail comes full circle with an invitation to gather and celebrate together, here.
Beyond the décor, the season has already drawn shoppers into the craft of the season. At the Diya Paint & Glow Workshop, Pavilion Privileges members painted clay diyas in their own colours and patterns, each lamp ready to be lit at home when the festival arrives. Still ahead, the Foyer Entrance, Level 3, will play host to Indian Semi Classical & Fusion Dance performances on 31st October and 1st, 7th, and 8th November 2026 at 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm, where classical poise meets contemporary flair in a fitting finale to the celebration.
For those preparing to welcome family and friends this Deepavali, ‘Unlock the Joy’ brings a thoughtful touch to the season with an array of rewards and gifts-with-purchase available for redemption. Shoppers who spend RM300 in a single receipt mall-wide will receive a RM20 Shopping Voucher, while Maybank Credit or Charge Card holders who spend RM500 can bring home a Daisy Plate Set furnished with gold trims.
