Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon Opens In Indonesia

BINTAN, Indonesia, 13 August 2026 — Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has opened Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon, a new beachfront resort on Indonesia’s Bintan Island offering accommodation, dining, recreation, wellness, golf and meetings facilities.

Located on Bintan’s northern coast, the resort is accessible by ferry from Singapore and features 408 rooms and suites, each with a private balcony or terrace overlooking the gardens or sea.

Accommodation options range from Deluxe Rooms and Premium Terrace Rooms to Junior, Executive, Ambassador and Presidential Suites.

The resort features several dining venues, including Port 19, an all-day restaurant serving Indonesian, Asian and international cuisine with live cooking stations.

Yokatta Izakaya & Bar offers Japanese dishes including sushi, udon and yakitori, while Klon-Tong Deli draws inspiration from Bintan in the 1980s with pastries, ice cream, local specialities and coffee.

Other dining venues include the Recreation Village Sports Lounge and Ocean Pool Bar. On the beachfront, Soñada Beach Club serves Pan-Asian and Italian dishes alongside cocktails, beachfront cabanas and weekend DJ sessions.

Guests can also experience Mövenpick’s Chocolate Hour, a daily chocolate-focused ritual offered at the resort.

Recreation facilities include the Recreation Village, which features fitness, sports, family activities and casual dining. Guests can participate in yoga and Pilates sessions, use the fitness centre or take part in organised activities.

Little Birds Club provides indoor and outdoor play areas, arts and crafts and interactive activities for younger guests.

The resort also offers swimming pools, kayaking, paddleboarding and other non-motorised water sports.

Golfers have access to Bintan Lagoon International Golf, which features two 18-hole courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Ian Baker-Finch.

Shantara Spa & Wellness provides private treatment rooms, couples’ rooms, reflexology and facial treatments, as well as sauna and steam facilities.

For meetings and events, the resort offers more than 2,000 square metres of space, including a 900-square-metre Grand Ballroom and additional flexible function areas.

The beachfront resort also provides outdoor spaces for team activities, weddings and social events.

Garth Simmons, chief operating officer of Accor’s Premium, Midscale & Economy division in Asia, said the resort would bring Mövenpick’s hospitality and culinary heritage to an accessible beachfront destination.

Richard Margo, general manager of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Bintan Lagoon, said the resort was designed to give guests flexibility to create their own experiences, whether for leisure, family holidays, wellness, golf or corporate gatherings.

Members of ALL Accor, the group’s booking and loyalty programme, can access member benefits and earn Reward points when staying at the resort.
