The Andaman Presents a Rainforest Acoustic Session with Yuna
Resort’s inaugural event kicked-off with an exclusive performance by international artiste, Yuna.
LANGKAWI, KEDAH, August 2018 – On 18th August 2018, The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort, Langkawi launched the resort’s first ever ‘The Andaman Presents’ event; an acoustic performance in the rainforest with Malaysian-born international artiste, Yuna.
In light with creating unique memories for guests, ‘The Andaman Presents’ is a series of experiences hosted by the resort to ensure that global explorers around the world are able to bring back more than just a great holiday, but an experience to remember as well.
“With ‘The Andaman Presents’, we are able to offer guests experiences that they would have never expected whilst on a holiday. These experiences range from acoustic performances to a cooking class by a celebrity chef or even a sandcastle building event,” explains Carlos Tarrero, General Manager of The Andaman, Langkawi.
Yuna performaning an acoustic version of her hit track , Crush.
To kick off the series, the resort chose to collaborate with homegrown songstress, Yuna who rose to fame with her hit single, “Crush” featuring Usher. Set intimately in the resort’s grand lobby, Yuna serenaded guests with some of her hit tracks such as Crush, Dan Sebenarnya as well as Lullabies – a track that was featured on The Luxury Collection’s official soundtrack, all in a 45 minutes set.
“The Luxury Collection is about delivering experiences that define the destination and there is no one better to define Malaysia than Yuna. Despite being internationally acclaimed, Yuna is still true to her Malaysian roots and that really is a remarkable representation of the Malaysian culture.” Carlos added.
“Ultimately, we want our guests to have the best experiences they can get from a holiday, discovering something new and bringing home memories that they can collect and rekindle for the rest of their lives.”
The one-night only performance was exclusive for all in-house guests staying in the resort on that evening, courtesy of The Andaman, Langkawi.
“The evening was a big success with a great turnout. We had a full-house and even saw bookings from fans who flew in all the way from Singapore just to enjoy this unique experience,” Carlos commented. “My team and I are definitely excited to bring the next ‘The Andaman Presents’ event to life.”
As a series of events, The Andaman will be presenting the next Rainforest Acoustic Session in December 2018 with Swedish-Argentinian indie folk singer-songwriter, Jose Gonzalez who is known for his hit track, ‘Heartbeat’.
