VietJet Launched Direct Flight between Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh City

Vietnam’s new-age airline with low-cost and diversified services, VietJet, launched its newest international route connecting Kuala Lumpur with Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Also present during the inaugural flight ceremony were Mr. Trinh Dinh Dung, Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister; Nguyen Thi Thuy Binh, Vice President of Vietjet; and Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, Managing Director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad. The airline which offers convenient flying times, affordable fares and high quality services is expected to boost tourist arrivals between two countries. Datuk Badlisham Ghazali also shared, “We are heartened by this inaugural flight as it signifies the confidence that VietJet has in the strong growth opportunities that exist within the Malaysian market, especially with regards to tourism. The inclusion of VietJet into the KLIA family will further promote its status as a preferred hub in this region.

The Kuala Lumpur – Ho Chi Minh City route is operated on a daily basis, and takes about one hour and 55 minutes of flying time. VietJet takes off from Kuala Lumpur at 13:00 and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 13:55 (local time). Return flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 9:30 (local time) and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 12:25.
