Known for its passion for quality cuts and heartfelt hospitality, Maria’s SteakCafe was awarded the coveted certification in June 2024, joining a highly exclusive list of international establishments authorised to serve genuine Kobe beef—a title accompanied by the Bronze Cattle Statue, official plaque, and certificate of authenticity.
Originating from the purebred Tajima-gyu cattle in Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture, Kobe beef is renowned for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and melt-in-your-mouth flavor. Strict standards govern its production, making it one of the rarest meats in the world. In 2023, fewer than 10 certified Kobe cattle were imported into Malaysia, and Maria’s was among the pioneers to bring this experience to local diners.

Since earning its certification, Maria’s has continued to offer authentic Kobe beef at all its outlets across the Klang Valley, including its KLCC flagship and 1 POWERHOUSE locations, where the certification plaques and statue are proudly displayed.
